HOW CAN AN INDIVIDUAL RECEIVE HOME CARE SERVICES?
Depending on your needs, home care services are available. After we've established your specific needs, we may suggest services that are personalized to you.
WHO PAYS FOR HOME CARE?
Home care may be paid for in a number of different ways. Only a handful of options are available which includes Medicaid, Medicare, Waivers, private health insurance, long-term care insurance, and private pay. Quality Caring Hearts Home Care Agency accepts private pay, OLTL, and Aging Waivers.
WHAT ARE WAIVER SERVICES?
There are Home and Community-Based Support (HCBS) Waiver Programs in Pennsylvania that give supportive assistance to qualified individuals who want to remain at home and/or in their communities rather than attend a facility (such as a nursing home or intermediate care facility).
Waiver programs help people maintain their independence by providing medical and non-medical services in the privacy of their own homes or other community-based settings (which is the preference of most individuals). Medicare and Medical Assistance do not always cover the services provided by the various programs, especially if they are provided on a long-term basis. Caring Hearts Home Care Agency can assist clients in obtaining these services.
WHAT PROCEDURES DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE TO HANDLE EMERGENCIES?
Our employees respond to simple emergencies seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Patients will be triaged, and depending on the type of emergency, the appropriate staff member, clinician, or paraprofessional will be assigned to follow up. In the event of a natural disaster, the organization has a comprehensive emergency operations plan, which patients are informed of as part of their package.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE MUST I CALL TO SET UP SERVICES?
Depending on the type of treatment you demand, you may obtain services the same day (insurance or private pay) or several months later (Waiver services). After we've evaluated your needs, we'll provide you a list of all the options.

CAREGIVERS
To join our team of home care professionals, we look for compassionate and dedicated caregivers. A Caregiver's main responsibility is to assist clients in becoming as self-sufficient as possible in their own homes. Bathing, clothing, grooming, personal hygiene, continence care, ambulation, and eating are among the activities of daily life that caregivers assist with (ADLs). Meal preparation, medication reminders, keeping the house safe and clean, errands and transportation (also known as IADLs), and general monitoring of the clients' physical and mental well-being are all things they help with. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must complete state mandatory training.
Applicants must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks:
Criminal background
Motor Vehicle driving record
Professional or personal reference check.
Give permission to submit random drug and alcohol testing.
Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliable and punctuality.
Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, provide current registration and insurance.
Must adhere to agency policies and procedures.
Must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.
